Let renovators source the tile and fit at a fixed price.
Our network renovators buy at trade rates and pass the saving on, plus they carry breakage risk through the install.

Bathroom tile calculator questions.
How much wastage should I add when ordering bathroom tile?+
10 percent for straight-set and stack-bond patterns. 18 percent for herringbone. 12 to 15 percent for brick patterns. Always round up to the full box rather than the tile count: most Adelaide suppliers only sell whole boxes and will not split.
Why does large-format tile cost more to lay?+
Large-format porcelain (600x1200 and larger) requires calibrated levelling systems (MLT, Raimondi), C2TE S1 polymer-modified adhesive, and slower, more careful setting. Adelaide large-format labour rates run $95 to $140 per sqm vs $75 to $100 for standard format.
Can I supply my own tile and have the renovator just install?+
Technically yes. Most Adelaide renovators prefer to supply the tile themselves because they carry breakage risk during transport and install, they buy at trade rates, and they have relationships with suppliers for replacements. If you supply, expect the quote to include a disclaimer shifting breakage risk to you.
What size tile is best for small bathrooms?+
Counter-intuitively, large-format tile (600x1200 or 600x600) is better for small bathrooms because fewer grout lines make the room feel larger. The old rule about small tiles in small rooms applies only to very small mosaic footprints (powder rooms under 2 sqm) for shower-floor slip safety.
How do I account for openings (niches, windows) in the tile area?+
Add the niche back into your wall area. A wall with a 300x600mm niche effectively has 0.18 sqm less main wall but 0.9 sqm of niche lining (front face + three sides + floor). The two roughly cancel out, so just use the wall's gross area.
Does the calculator include trim and edge pieces?+
No. Bullnose edges, Schluter trim, and corner pieces are separate supply line items. Budget $40 to $120 per linear metre of exposed tile edge, depending on the finish system. Most Adelaide renovators bundle this into the tile labour line.
